Red Snapper and Grouper-Tilefish Individual Fishing Quota (IFQ) Programs Review

National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) guidance for conducting reviews of Catch Share Programs (April 2017) requires that IFQ programs be reviewed within the first five years of inception and then every five to seven years afterwards. Such reviews are to evaluate progress in meeting goals and objectives.This joint review is the first subsequent review of the Gulf of Mexico (Gulf) red snapper individual fishing quota (RS-IFQ) and the grouper-tilefish IFQ (GT-IFQ) programs.
