The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council has issued a Request for Proposals for development of a Fishery Ecosystem Plan. The Council is seeking a qualified contractor to design and execute the development of a full Fishery Ecosystem Plan (FEP) to support ecosystem-based fishery management in the Gulf of Mexico. The selected contractor will work with Council staff to outline and prioritize management goals of the Council, provide background information of the ecological and socioeconomic topics to consider, and identify the steps to reach the specific goals identified.
This is a 12-month project and $300,000 is available to fund the work.
