The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council has cancelled the Public Hearing on Draft Reef Fish Amendment 54 – Modifications to Greater Amberjack Catch Limits and Allocation that was scheduled to take place tonight, September 26, 2022, in Madeira Beach, Florida.  The meeting is cancelled due to Hurricane Ian which is expected to impact the local area.

 

The Council expects to take final action on Reef Fish Amendment 54 during its October 24-27th, Council meeting in Biloxi, Mississippi and plans to hold four remaining in-person meetings across the Gulf of Mexico.  Additionally, a virtual hearing is scheduled at 6:00 PM EDT on October 11, 2022.  Alternatively, comments can be submitted online or emailed to [email protected]
