Meeting Notice

The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council will hold a meeting of its Outreach and Education Technical Committee on December 6, 2022 from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST. The meeting will be held at the Council offices located at 4107 West Spruce Street, Suite 200, Tampa, Florida 33607.
The Committee will begin by reviewing its 2022 Communications Improvement Plan and 2022 communications analytics. Next, the Committee will review draft Communications Guidelines for Regulations, Use of Council Products, and Communication Analytics. The Committee will review a draft of the Council’s Marine Recreational Information Program (MRIP) Story Map and review the 2023 In-Person Event Outreach Plan. The Committee will hear a presentation on the Council’s Fishery Ecosystem Plan and recommend appropriate outreach tactics. Finally, the Committee will discuss and prioritize future communication endeavors and suggest ideas for the 2023 Communications Improvement Plan. The Committee will discuss any other business as needed.
