In-Person and Virtual Participation Instructions for the June 2021 Council Meeting

The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council (Council) is pleased to resume face-to-face meetings. The June Council meeting will be held in-person at the Opal Key Resort and Marina in Key West, Florida. Virtual participation will also be available. The meeting will convene Monday, June 21 through Friday, June 25, 2021. The meeting agenda and briefing materials are available on the Council meeting webpage. Public testimony will be held on the afternoon of Thursday, June 24, 2021. In-person and virtual participants will have equal opportunity to give public testimony

In-person attendees:

In effort to promote a safe meeting experience, we are asking attendees to wear a mask indoors while moving about the hotel property. We will provide masks and hand sanitizer for all attendees. In the meeting spaces, Council members, staff, and the public may remove masks when seated or when providing public testimony.

The main Council meeting space will have limited capacity so the Council has secured additional on-site meeting space in the event the capacity is reached within the primary meeting room. This additional meeting space will have a live-stream of the Council meeting.

In-person attendees wishing to give public testimony must sign-up using the kiosk outside the meeting room on Thursday, June 24^th. Staff will be available to assist with the registration process.

Virtual attendees: Equal opportunity to participate during the Council meeting will be provided via webinar. To provide public testimony, you must register online and join the webinar. A registration link to provide testimony will be available on the briefing materials webpage beginning at 8:00 AM, EDT on Thursday June 24^th. Registration to provide virtual testimony will close one hour before public testimony begins (1:15 PM EDT). Virtual participants must register for the webinar under the same name they use to register to provide testimony.
