The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council (Council) is seeking applicants for its Special Shrimp Scientific and Statistical Committee (SSC). Applicants should have expertise in statistics, fishery biology, marine ecology, economics, sociology, anthropology, or any other special sciences as they apply to the Gulf of Mexico shrimp fisheries.
SSC members are appointed by the Council and serve a 3-year term. Members are reimbursed for approved travel expenses and receive a daily stipend for their work.
Special SSCs each consist of 3 members and none of those members shall be a member of the Standing SSC or any other Special SSC.
