Meeting Notice

The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council will host a meeting of its Law Enforcement Technical Committee (LETC), in conjunction with the Gulf States Marine Fisheries Commission’s Law Enforcement Committee (LEC). The meeting will convene from 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM, CDT on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. The Committees will be in closed session from 7:30-8:15 AM, CDT. The meeting will be held at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel located at 2 Poydras Street in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The Law Enforcement Technical Committee will discuss red snapper IFQ advance landing notifications from 2022, including a review of the proportion of inspected to non-inspected red snapper landings. The Committee will also discuss the sale of recreationally caught fish and review the nominations process for the 2023 Law Enforcement Officer/Team of the Year Award.
